WatchFastest 5K Again - I feel guilty after breaking my last time because I got to had to stop twice waiting on traffic. On the other hand, I don’t think I could run as fast making laps around the park because dodging traffic and beating lights makes me run hard. Laps around the park are also very boring.

Avenue Q Lottery
Avenue Q is in town at TPAC. Every show has a lottery for 20 orchestra seats for $25. You show up 90 minutes before the curtain rises to enter and they draw names 60 minutes prior. Beth & I have talked about going and it I know it would be a great time. Spending $50 on great seats would be much better than spending that amount of the last 5ish rows.

Whining Will Get You Something
A coworker asked the “Powers That Be” about leaving early for Halloween. Us young guys don’t have an excuse but parents getting home early enough to experience their little ones dressed as Hannah Montana is important. So the PTB agreed to let us go at 3:30. It has been a great week!

I finally finished the engagement photos from the shoot in Carbondale thanks to my day off. I think the variety of styles in the set will satisfy Kelly’s desires she expressed to me on that day. I definitely like them better than my own engagement photos.

I got to work at 12ish, shot the shit with a coworker smoking outside, and was comfortable at my desk, catching up on my RSS feeds, by 12:30. At 1pm, my boss tells me to go home. I even replied, “I only got here at noon.” He said, “We’ll go home early then.” I quickly skedaddled.

Working Late

Last weekend at SATCO I spied with my little eye a large gentleman NOMMING on hot wings. I scoffed at the idea of hot wings at a taco place but then miniature, fat angles floating around the restaurant started wafting the spicy aroma towards me. I have been craving wings ever since. Monday Night Football
The Colts are in town. The Titans are the only undefeated team in the NFL. There is a huge convention (15,000 peeps) in town too. Driving will be a clusterfuck. I advised Beth to avoid taking 24 around the stadium and come home an alternate way. I look forward to looking out my window and seeing the glow.
I’m doing work work on the weekend. It’s not fun but I need to realize that a little work this weekend will make an easier Monday & Tuesday.

Early Voting
Early voting rocks! Spending 10 minutes on a Saturday is much better than waiting in a line on a Tuesday. The guy that setup my electronic voting machine old me that 30ish percent of registered voters in Davidson County have voted. He quoted some ridiculous number of people they expect to see on the 4th. He ended by saying that some people actually want to wait in that line on voting day....
Why do people whom I haven’t spoken to in 5 years and was never close to want to be my Facebook friends? I hate to block them but their requests continue popping up. I want to say something like “Real friends first. Facebook friends second.” but I’m really close to a handful of people I’ve never or briefly met.
There are fish and chips in my belly from Dan McGuinness’ Pub on Demonbreum. I thought about getting some stew or shepherd’s pie to pair with this dark, rainy day. I didn’t regret my decision after biting into the crisp fish slathered in a lemon-dill tartar sauce.
