In my past, moving to a new house involved multiple pickup trucks, stock/car/tractor trailers, or even hay wagons in the case of our ‘98 move across the yard. We rented a truck when we moved to Germantown due to a lack of wagons.
Today we hired The Green Truck Movers a small, local operation to move us to Sylvan Park. The movers were courteous, friendly, & efficient. I couldn’t have asked for a better group therefore I highly recommend them. They have great student rates too.
I texted my friend, Jeff, while our belongings were hauled down. I asked him what I should be doing while they were working. Should I put my feet up and watch? Should I help? He replied “Watch!” It was uncomfortable fidgeting around the apartment as I stayed out of their way. I was able to do some tasks but the majority of the time was spent sitting around. I’ll get the hang of it when we move again.
I have finally learned to stop trying to make the Comcast technician’s installations easier. They are always going to use new cables, splitters, or remote controls. Today was no exception but it went smoothly and that is what matters.
Our living and dining room are box free and look like we have been here for weeks. It feels great to sit here with no boxes in site even if the other rooms are very different looking.
