I may have discovered the best chocolate chip cookie possible. We cut up chocolate from the fundraising candy bar Beth’s little cousin sold us along with the dark Dove pieces her mom gave me. Then we reached the necessary two cups with a king bar of discounted Hershey dark chocolate. And… AND!! A cup of sliced almonds left over from our apple tart. But I am not done!
Yes! There is more. I left the bowl of chocolate on the stove so some of the pieces were melting. I also put the almonds in the dough directly from the skillet. So half of the dough was solid but the rest was melted/ing. This, along with the easy to nom almonds, made a great dough. I hope the baked versions are as good as what I licked off of my fingers.
