Backing Up Photos
Months ago I attempted to back up my photos online. (It is amazing how a hard drive failure can motivate you.) I gave up after many days because the upload was taking forever (I think my library is around gigabytes.) and seemed to re-upload data that was already there. But after hearing a friend get some relative success, I have tried again.
Yesterday morning I figured up JungleDisk and Aperture and let them do their magic. In the 22ish hours it has been running, I have uploaded around 1/6 of my library according to the unreliable progress bar. I’ll be leaving my computer at work this weekend as it continues to upload at rates unobtainable at home (0.5-5 meg/sec).
