Fritz & My 50

Saturday afternoon I practiced shooting with my new lens outside at home. It was only natural to shoot Mom’s dog, Fritz, as he played in the yard and barn.

Shooting manually is difficult but rewarding. I lost a great shot when Fritz walked from inside the barn to the edge where the sun him. I turned around and quickly fire a shot as he looked down on the yard. But when I went to review the photo, I had my settings configured for shooting in the dark barn so this photo was very overexposed. Shooting manually definitely makes it more difficult to shoot between different environments quickly.

Here are my favorite two photos from our time together.
