Real Estate Ads

I have looked at many listings for apartments, condos, lofts, townhouses, lofts, homes, duplexes, & triplexes in the last month. Thanks craigslist!

I don’t know what these landlords/realtors were thinking when they posted certain listings that have terrible pictures and information. Many of them are for large complexes and don’t show any photos of the actual space. A pool and a gym are nice perks but why did you post photos of the nicely decorated office? I won’t even touch the ads that have no pictures at all.

But I still have beef with all of the ads that have photos because they never take photos of the entire space and usually don’t get wide shots to give me an idea of the layout. One owner sent us a handful of photos and half of them were of the damn kitchen from different angles. We still haven’t seen the bathroom or bedroom but at least the rest of the place looks great.

I swear I could make a living from posting peoples property to craigslist. I would take logical photos, include relevant information (As well as all the buzzwords… Did you know that 93% of listings are “close to Vanderbilt?”), and floor plans if I had them. For an extra fee I would knock something out in Google SketchUp.

Am I alone in valuing this quality information?
