Cable Woes Before Cable
I schedule an appointment for Comcast to install our cable last Weekend. Today (Thursday) was the earliest which was fine with me because I knew I would be working late earlier in the week and Beth wouldn’t be able to get off to meet a technician here. So today I got off work at 2:45 to get to the apartment at the beginning of my 3pm-6pm window. The technician actually called me at 12:30 today asking if he could come soon because he was installing in our building at the time. I said no.
I just got a call (5:30pm) from the same guy who tells me he won’t be here for another hour to hour and a half. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem but ICA is bought Nashville Sounds (Da Nash’s minor league team) and it starts at 7. Beth would normally be home at 6:20ish but is picking up groceries after work.
I’m in a quandary. Telling Beth to rush home and finding time to pick up the groceries we need before heading out tomorrow would be tough. But I don’t want to miss the game. The best option is to stay here for the technician (or till Beth gets here) and miss the game or show up late.
