Dissatisfied

Today Beth & I picked up wedding prints & a digital backup from our photographer that we ordered a few weeks ago. Before the wedding I expressed my desire for a backup after hearing of adults unable to reprint their damaged photos for many reasons. I was told that the backup would be included if we purchased prints from her.

Today our photographer informs us that the DVD of photos and their release would cost $250. I was pissed and Beth really wanted to have them. I too knew that we needed the disc but I wasn’t happy about paying that much money for something she already promised us under vague terms. We gave her our credit card and I gritted my teeth as she made small talk. We walked out and I as fuming. After two solo laps around the mall I found Beth and told her that I was going back in.

I told her, “I’m not happy with the price of this DVD. You told me that it would be included if we purchased prints.” She asked if she had mentioned high or low resolution photos. I did not recall any discussion of the contents but did assume it would be full resolution JPGs. She immediately said she isn’t one to go against her word and immediately wrote me a check because she doesn’t know how to put money back on a card.

In the future I am going to show a few photos of our wedding and bitch critique them for my own advancement as a photographer.
