Mary Chapin Carpenter - He Thinks He’ll Keep Her
Last year I got down on myself because I passed on many concerts in town. Missing Ryan Adam’s last shows is my biggest regret. I vowed to not pass on interesting shows this year and so far I have followed my goal to an extent.
This past weekend I thought about how much I enjoy(ed) country music created in the 90’s. I don’t recall the song that sparked that thought. Let’s pretend Randy Travis sang it. I would like to say that this thought helped me remember to look into the Mary Chapin Concert being advertised across town but I think it was just a coincidence. Mary was scheduled to play at the Schermerhorn but flood damages exceed $40 million and the center isn’t scheduled to open till January 2011. Her show has been moved to TPAC which seats more people. So I grabbed a pair of cheap tickets for the July 16th show whoa oh oh.
