Critique
I have never thought about what I really want when I share photos online. It originated in 2002/2003 as a way to share my life and get praise. I enjoy knowing people find my photos pleasing but I realized tonight that the compliments aren’t helping me.
Tonight Roxy took the time to look through my Flickr set from this afternoon and critique a handful of photos. I was surprised to read the suggestions and questions because I had never received that feedback before as I’m suspect she did in college. As I read and thought about her words I realized how much I enjoyed reading her thoughts and thinking about composing those photos differently.
So what I’m realized is that I want more suggestions. I could share my photos with more Flickr groups but so many of those groups are people patting each other on the back with annoying comments.
