I’m glad you asked. The step involving the blood is argued to be the most critical in the process of changing a flat tire. When I begin using the breaker bar, with the end sharp enough to piece through the hide of a Nepalese yak, I also scrape it lightly across my knee as penance for all the “fist fulls” & “bricks” of cookie dough I consume. Many men ignore this step.

On Wednesday, the company is answering the call, offering biking routes in 150 American cities in Google Maps. Google plans to unveil the service during the National Bike Summit in Washington. The event will be followed by a group ride at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Tex.

I’m so excited to see this. I’m also sad to see the lack of friendly roads in Nashville.

Post walk, Tyler plopped on the chair with a fist full of raw cookie dough. Usually we or he freezes it. When I asked he said, well yeah you’re supposed too! Wait for the kicker…he went back for another brick. Uh, I’m sure my brow furrowed oh so slightly. Gross Tyler gross!

“[F]ist full” and “brick” are strong words that don’t accurately represent Fat Tyler’s actions. I’m surprised she didn’t mention the takeout I ate too.

My boss replenished my Pilot P-700 supplies this morning. It have been without my favorite been (since high school) for a month. When I begin to feel that my pen desire is petty until I pick begin to write with one again. FYI, Mirado Black Warrior cedar pencils are my other favorite utensil.

My brother’s high school graduation date has been scheduled on the same day as the Tour de Nash, an event with multiple walking and biking courses. I saw a lot of riders last year and looked forward to participating in 27 mile gran tour this year. Maybe I’ll bring my bike up that weekend and have my own race. Tour de Eff? An Effin’ Bike Ride? I’ll have to think about a similar 27 mile course. Mom & Dad’s to Homewood Grill for a banana milkshake would motivate me. I would need to have another milkshake waiting at home home so I could make it back.

After my bicycle ride and Beth’s pirated vampire movie, we went walking down the Stones River Greenway. It’s a hilly path so two miles was more than enough for a post-ride Tyler and a recuperating Beth.

I have been debating how I was going to enjoy the 50º+ temperature all week. After lunch and grocery shopping I decided I would get the most out of my time running. Running at 6:30 in the morning on an empty stomach isn’t as easy as the opposite so I try to run longer on the weekends. I’m getting much better at plotting routes exactly the length I want to run. That is about the only good thing I can say. I want to run faster and longer. Hopefully an increase in frequency will support those wishes. I have already ran over half of the distance I ran in February. At this pace I will surpass February’s distance by 40%. I think that says more about my running last month.

Tomorrow I’m hoping Beth will be up for a long walk with my camera. It has been too long.
