I have a 7AM demonstration to give to our Sales team. It is a last minute assignment after the original presenter had a meeting on the road.

I’m trying to distill all the nuggets down to a tasty 6-pack but it’s hard. And in the back of my head I know I am quickly approaching a point of diminishing returns.

On top of that I got a snotty email from a coworker after he took down a server we rely on with no notice. He insinuated that brining to problem to his attention “BEFORE” 5:30 in the future will be easier for everyone. That pissed Daddy off enough that he banished himself to the kitchen instead of giving Nolan a bath.

On October 14th, 2011, Bill and Seph Cherkasky traveled to Knoebel’s Amusement Resort in Elysburg, PA to check out the reincarnation of one of their favorite childhood rides. After two years of hard work, the Knoebel’s rebuilt the former Golden Nugget Mine Ride from Wildwood, NJ as the Black Diamond. This 7 minute report includes an interview with Dick Knoebel, president and co-manager of the park.

I have wanted to return to Knoebel’s ever since I left on my only visit 5+ years ago. I’m anxious for them to finish Flying Turns so I can justify a return.

Strawberries were a large part of my weekend in Illinois. Dad & I drove to Newton early Saturday morning and picked 35 pounds of berries in around an hour. It took me back to hours in the patches with my parents when I would whine about the sun, or my back hurting, or anything else I could think of to get out of the work.

Nolan has come to like them as well. He was grabbing many as I stemmed them on the front porch.

As an adult I appreciate the work and know how special a strawberry in season is. They are so good that I should call the off-season berries something different.
