I created a handful of images around Germantown this afternoon.

Germantown, Nashville, TN
I have walked by this house many times and never noticed the four stars till today.
Nashville, Then & Now

I saw this book last weekend and Beth bought it for me yesterday. I flew through the first 50 pages last night looking at photos of the past and modern photos from the same location.
My biggest surprise is that our current home (Germantown) was considered outside of Nashville instead of a suburb. And our first Nashville apartment, just North of the Capitol, was on the border of “Hell’s Half Acre”. This area around the hill “was the city’s red-light district, prostitution, bootleg whisky, and gambling.”
July 2009
We stayed in Nashville during July with the exception of one trip to So Ill.
It poured on Independence Day as we were watching fireworks along the river.

I confessed my love for the Abuelita woman.

My parents visited!

We drove to Goreville one day to pick peaches with Beth’s parents and Beaner.

We took a lot of walks to explore Germantown since moving.

We invested in two bicycles.

Our loft became livable.

50 F is (it may change) my limit for running. Yesterday morning it was 43 so I stayed in and biked to work. This morning it is 51 F so I m heading out in a few. I have decided to run the 5k at the Germantown Octoberfest/Street Festival on October 10th.
